Women's Rights
Arab women and their organisations are organised and challenging discriminatory attitudes, practices and policies to attain their full civic rights with a particular focus on ending all forms of violence against women and girls.
We aim to strengthen the feminist movement at the grassroots level, so women and girls are organized as drivers of change to mobilize and build solidarity with communities, young men, women’s groups and organisations to challenge discriminatory attitudes, practices and policies. Individuals, groups and organisations that believe in equality for men and women and the need to end patriarchy.
Change will come about when:
- Women are able to address discrimination and inequality at individual and community level.
- Young men are organized as allies to women (of all ages) in the demand for an end to inequality and discrimination.
- Women groups and organisations are able to organize and build solidarity with and between local communities and women’s rights networks and coalitions to advocate for an end to inequality and discrimination.
- Women’s groups, organisations and movements identify, lobby and advocate for changes in discriminatory policies and practices that allow inequality and injustice to thrive at local, national and regional level.
